Patients present themselves with back pain, neck pain and headache pain and Multiple Impulse Therapy treats conditions associated with the above mentioned muscle, joint and disc problems of many varieties such as bulging discs, herniated discs or ruptured and protruding discs of the spine (low back), degenerated discs, joint facet syndrome, sciatica, mild spondylolisthesis and stenosis.
Multiple Impulse therapy is a form of manipulation but is administered by a low force hand held tool that first measures how much force to use and then delivers just the right amount – not too much and not too little. It also enables the physician to record the low force reading and store it for use again at the same force setting, all without any pain. |

The Agency for Health Care Policy and Research of the Public Health Service of the US Department of Health and Human Services, recently issued Clinical Practice Guide Number 14, which recommends “manipulation” (as is administered through Multiple Impulse Therapy), as the primary treatment for acute low back pain.
Spinal manipulative therapy as provide through Multiple Impulse Therapy, has been used since ancient times and has been referred to in the writings of Hypocrites (400 B.C.), Galen (130-120 B.C.), Avicenna (960-1307 A.D), Ambrose Pare (1510-1590 A.D.), and the most noted modern proponent of spinal manipulative therapy is D.D. Palmer, the founder of modern day chiropractic.
